We worm our pups from 2 weeks old every 2 weeks.
we use panacur paste. Then at 8 weeks old we give them a Milprozol tablet as long as they are over 1kg.
Once you have your new puppy you can then decide how often you want to worm them.
We worm our dogs every 3 months as we donโt like to put too many chemicals into their bodies. However if your dog goes to the beach a lot, picks up rubbish, digs in the garden or licks anything and everything we would suggest to give more frequent.
Vets advise to give every month. we suggest discussing this with your vet and taking onboard their advice so its inline with your dogs needs.
WORMING TREATMENT/PREVENTION
FLEA TREATMENT
FLEAS!!! We hate them, this is why itโs so important to keep them away. However we also donโt want to fill our precious babies with nasty chemicals. There are natural remedies on the market which are great for prevention. But if your pup has these little terrors, serious intervention is needed.
All our pups are sprayed with frontline spray before they leave us. Meaning they have some sort of protection for the next few weeks.
Once this runs out its then up to you to decide how you wish to move forward. Here at Bridget & Bea I only treat for fleas if they have them. Flea treatments can be extremely potent on little ones bodies.
I must stress to NEVER use shop bought products. Only VET PRESCRIBED.
If your dog goes to kennels, day care, or just generally places where lots of dogs are together you might need to use prevention.
we like Simpartica as its treats fleas, ticks and mites. This is a great product as its in a chewable tablet and also is good for them if they are run down and coat is looking dull or thin.
